Apartment
I signed the lease to the new apartment today. I’m so excited. Me and A both got what we wanted Im going to get a bigger and nicer apartment and he is still in the area. The bad part is that the rent is more than I wanted and I ended up paying a realty fee. The apartment is huge! It has two walk in closets, one in the bedroom and one in the foyer. They are renovating the apartment right now so everything will be brand new. New kitchen, bathroom and floors. We basically spent all the money we had to get the apartment so whatever furniture we do want to buy will have to wait a while. Plus A is not working right now. If I stick with my budget I should still have money to put in my savings but it’s sooo hard to stick with budgets. We started packing and hopefully we can move into the new place in two weeks. Still so much and still so much money to spend… Pictures will be coming soon.

Rambles
So what’s been going on…Not a whole lot…My birthday has passed, Christmas, New Year and Valentine’s Day. And the only thing good out of all those days was getting a remote starter for my car. It’s been a little difficult with money since A hasn’t worked the past month. I’m not used to paying the bulk of the bills with only my salary. It’s very very tight but it’s good to know that I can do it. It’s also hard since we plan to move out in April. And it’s been very discouraging seeing how expensive apartments are. Most apartments range in the 1250 to 1350 range for a one bedroom. Which we could probably do if we are both working but I would like to aim for something less because paying that much would be a jump. We both have car payments and that plus rent is enough! Makes me wish sometimes that I didn’t get a car but it is what it is now.
A few days ago I went to this concert and it brought back so much memories of my teenage years. All the artists were popular in the 90’s. It was a lot of sappy love songs. I used to sit in my room dreaming about being with someone and what it would be like. It was a very innocent time in my life that I miss very much. Now I realize that there is nothing like being young and just having fun. A time where things were not so complicated…
Since it’s still the beginning of the year these are my plans for 2011:
1) Move out to a bigger place
2) Lasik eye surgery
3) Lose about 20lbs
4) Create an emergency fund
5) Go to DR
Those are a lot of expenses I will probably have to knock out at least one. But dreaming bigger is always better!
